Jeremy began his career with NatWest in 1980 before joining Hill Samuel Bank in 1989 and in 1997, he moved to Adam & Co. Jeremy joined Hampden & Co in 2013 and as Managing Director of Banking, his role is to ensure our clients receive an exceptional service.
Jeremy is a Trustee of the St James’s Conservation Trust which works to protect and improve the beautiful and historic area of St James’s in the heart of London.
Caroline Primrose
Executive Director, Banking
Caroline specialises in banking for clients involved in property development, agriculture and landed estates. She started her career with the Agricultural Mortgage Corporation in 1990, before joining Adam & Company in 1997. She joined Hampden & Co in 2014.
Mark Plummer
Head of Private Banking, London
Mark’s career in Private Banking started at Coutts and he spent 25 years between there and C. Hoare & Co before joining Barclays Wealth in 2008 as Head of Banking & Credit. He then joined Handelsbanken in 2016 to set up and run their office in Mayfair.
Matthew Dobson
Head of Mortgage Intermediary Lending
Matthew has worked as a private banker for more than 18 years. He started his career in 2004 with NatWest, moving to Coutts in 2007 before joining Hampden & Co in 2018. Matthew works with a wide range of clients to deliver their personal and business banking requirements and he specialises in working with mortgage advisers to help clients arrange appropriate borrowing. He holds a BSC (Hons) in Business Management, the Certificate in Mortgage Advice & Practice and the Certificate in Advanced Mortgage Advice.
Samantha Dunne
Banking Director
Samantha has over 35 years’ banking experience. She started her career with Child & Co in 1989 before joining RBS Corporate and Commercial in 1998. In 2004 she joined Adam & Company as Associate Director. She holds an ACIB Certificate in Financial Services and a Certificate in Mortgage Advice & Practice. Samantha joined Hampden & Co in 2014.
Alastair Hazell
Banking Director
Alastair has more than 49 years’ banking experience. He started his career in 1975 with NatWest, building specialist knowledge of the legal sector, before joining Coutts and Ansbacher. Alastair joined the team at Hampden & Co in 2016.
Kevin Eagles
Banking Director
Kevin started his career with Lloyds Banking Group before moving to C. Hoare & Co where he spent more than 23 years, including 15 as a relationship manager for clients ranging from City professionals, industry leaders, estate owners and entrepreneurs to entertainers. He also looked after the banking needs of corporate clients including partnerships and LLPs, on and offshore trusts, family offices, charities and Livery companies. Kevin holds the CeMAP qualification. He joined the team at Hampden & Co in 2022.

Banking Director
John is a Banking Director based in our London office and he joined Hampden & Co in 2023. He spent more than ten years of his career with Kleinwort Hambros (formerly Kleinwort Benson) where he was a Private Banker in their Ultra High Net Worth team.
Patrick Preece
Banking Director
Patrick has worked in banking for more than 14 years having started his career with Coutts in 2010. In 2014, he moved to C. Hoare & Co where, as a relationship manager, he worked with a wide range of clients from individuals and corporate entities to trusts and charities. Patrick joined Hampden & Co in 2023 as a Banking Director in our London office. He has a particular interest in working with business owners, supporting their unique journey, particularly as they use both their knowledge and wealth to make a positive impact on society.
Rory Simpson
Banking Director
As Banking Director, Rory works with clients to assess their lending and deposit requirements and to provide a personalised banking experience. He joined Hampden & Co in 2016 and has worked in various roles across the bank, including in Banking and Credit Operations, giving him a broad understanding of client needs.
James Anthony
Associate Banking Director
James joined Hampden & Co in 2023 as Associate Banking Director in our London team. He has worked in banking for more than 14 years having started his career with NatWest before joining Coutts. James specialises in working with mortgage advisers and providing guidance to help clients find the right borrowing solution for their needs. He holds the Certificate in Mortgage Advice & Practice.

Chris started his career with BNY Mellon and has more than 18 years’ experience working in financial services. He joined Hampden & Co in 2014 and works primarily with mortgage introducers and their clients to assist with their lending requirements and to provide a personalised banking service. Chris holds the Certificate in Mortgage Advice & Practice.

Joe has worked in banking for more than 16 years having started his career with Lloyds Banking Group in 2008. He joined the team at Hampden & Co in 2018 and as Associate Banking Director, he works with a range of clients, assessing their borrowing and deposit requirements to provide a tailored solution and a personalised banking experience. Joe holds the Certificate of Mortgage Advice and Practice.

Ryan joined Hampden & Co in 2023, bringing more than 23 years’ experience of working with high-net-worth clients and professional partners. He started his career with RBS before joining Coutts, where he spent 6 years working across private banking and wealth management. He joined C. Hoare & Co. in 2013 where, as Relationship Manager, he specialised in providing regulated mortgage advice and developed relationships with wealth managers, accountants and solicitors. Ryan holds the Certificate in Mortgage Advice & Practice.

Mark leads our banking team serving clients in Scotland. He has more than over 40 years’ experience helping clients with complex finances and specialises in helping those with commercial banking needs. Mark was formerly Head of Corporate Banking in Scotland for Lloyds Bank and joined Hampden & Co in 2017. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Banker Institute.

Clare has 23 years banking experience and started her career in 2001 with Tesco Personal Finance before joining The Royal Bank of Scotland. In 2016 she joined Handelsbanken where she helped to set up their new Dunfermline office.
George Grierson
Banking Director
George has more than 48 years experience working in banking and finance, including roles in private enterprise, public sector, charities and private banking. He spent many years with Lloyds TSB, including five years leading their Private Client business.
David Bell
Banking Director
David began his banking career in 1968 with Bank of Scotland and worked for Alliance & Leicester and The Co-operative Bank before joining Hampden & Co in 2016. David’s particular area of expertise is helping clients to arrange commercial property finance. He is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland.

Graeme has more than 32 years’ experience in private banking having started his career in 1992 with Adam & Co. He joined Hampden & Co in 2016 and works with clients from a wide range of different backgrounds and professions. Graeme is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers.

Ian started in banking in 1997 with RBS and has held senior roles with Adam & Co and Handelsbanken where he specialised in helping business owners, directors and other professionals. Ian joined Hampden & Co in 2020.
Ryan Beattie
Banking Director
Ryan has worked in banking for more than 32 years in senior roles with Adam & Company and Clydesdale Bank. His broad experience across Retail, Private, Commercial, Corporate and Offshore banking allows him to truly understand the needs of a wide range of clients and the ways in which he can help them to achieve both their personal and professional goals. Ryan joined Hampden & Co in 2021.
Gill Sanders
Banking Director
Gill has more than 23 years experience helping clients to build and preserve their wealth. She joined Hampden & Co in 2022 from Adam & Company where she was Associate Director, Private Banking. Gill has a European Business Law degree from the University of Abertay and holds the Advanced Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice.
Alistair Macpherson
Banking Director
Alistair offers clients strong relationship, technical and commercial expertise, developed over a 35-year career working in retail and corporate banking, internal audit, equity investment, transaction execution and portfolio management. He joined Bank of Scotland in 1989 and worked for Lloyds Banking Group, Standard Life 1825 and Homes England before joining Hampden & Co in 2022. Alistair is a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers.

Matt joined Hampden & Co in 2016. He is a certified member of the Chartered Banker Institute and has attained the Associate Chartered Banker Diploma. Matt has an MA Degree in Politics from the University of Edinburgh and attained the Certificate in Mortgage Advice & Practice (CeMAP) with a Distinction.
Gillian Dobson

Gillian has worked in banking for more than 39 years. She started with The Royal Bank of Scotland in 1985 where she worked in their Private Banking, Corporate and Commercial businesses. Gillian joined Hampden & Co in 2018.
Linda Duthie
Associate Banking Director
Linda started her career in banking with Lloyds TSB in 1989 where she worked with clients with complex property financing requirements. She joined The Co-operative Bank in 2015 before joining the team at Hampden & Co in 2017. Her particular expertise is working with clients who own their own businesses, including property investors and developers.
Crawford Philpot
Associate Banking Director
Crawford joined Hampden & Co in 2019. He studied History at the University of Glasgow before reading Law at the University of Edinburgh. He works with a range of clients to deliver tailored solutions and a personalised banking experience. Crawford holds the Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP) with a Distinction.

Hannah is Head of Professional Partnerships at Hampden & Co. Her role is to build relationships with the other professional service firms that advise our clients, including solicitors, accountants, wealth managers, financial advisers, family offices, property consultants and mortgage introducers.

Tracey is Chief Executive Officer at Hampden & Co. She joined the Bank in 2024 from Handelsbanken Plc where she was Deputy Chief Executive Officer.
Jonathan Peake
Chief Financial Officer
Jonathan joined Hampden & Co in 2022 from Standard Bank International where he spent more than six years as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director for the banking and wealth management businesses with responsibility for £6bn of client deposits and £2.5bn of AUM.
Peter Craigie
Chief Risk Officer
Peter has worked in the Retail Banking, Insurance and Building Society sectors for more than 32 years, with hands on experience in conduct, credit, market and operational risk, treasury and finance, major change programmes and business development. He started his career with TSB Bank (Scotland) before moving to Dunfermline Building Society and Nationwide Building Society. In 2012, Peter joined Lloyds Banking Group (LBG) where he held senior banking and insurance roles that covered financial risk, business risk, customer proposition and customer strategy development, before he became Chief Risk Officer of LBG’s International Islands Banking business.
Andrew Bell

Andrew has over 25 years’ experience in financial services, starting his career with Lloyds Bank before moving to Coutts, where he helped develop Coutts’ wealth management proposition, becoming Head of Product for the Coutts Group in 2001. In 2004 he co-founded RBS Asset Management, where as Sales and Marketing Director he expanded RBS’s private client investment management business in Europe and Asia.

Colin started his career as a Management Consultant in roles with Accenture, Capgemini and PricewaterhouseCoopers where he delivered transformational business and technology change for a wide range of clients across different industries.

Keith has over 20 years’ experience in People / HR strategy, operations and organisational change through holding senior business facing HR roles in UK and global organisations.

General Counsel
As General Counsel, Gordon is responsible for providing legal advice and guidance to the Board and management team. He also supports the Board and its sub-committees as Company Secretary.
