Each year, Scottish Book Trust awards financial support, mentoring and practical expertise to selected emerging writers, helping them to develop their craft as they seek to publish their work. The Showcase event held in Edinburgh spotlights the award-winners across eleven categories, each of whom takes to the stage to read excerpts of their writing to an appreciative audience.
